Julie & Matt :: Married! :: Wisconsin Wedding Photographer

I learned yesterday that I just love working with creative clients. You may remember Julie and Matt from their beautiful engagement session on a sailboat in Madison- so right away you know this couple is going to be fun! Their unique interests and stories were intertwined throughout every aspect of their wedding day.

Baby Alex :: Welcome!

Generally, I post portraits on another blog. Today’s post, though, is the beautiful son of one of my wedding clients, so I am sharing it here, too!

Last year, I had the pleasure and honor of shooting a wedding for a dear, dear friend of the family. In fact, their images were the first posted to this blog! Jake and my little brother have been best friends since kindergarten, and now that they are all grown up I still consider Jake to be practically like my other little brother. My “brother from another mother,” as they would say (love ya, Karin!). I am so happy that both my brothers have turned out to be such amazing men.

Jake and his beautiful wife have had to endure what must be one of the hardest things for newlyweds and new parents to face: Deployment. Jake is currently stationed in Iraq, far from his new bride and his brand new son, Alex. My heart goes out to these two. All that I can offer to help them through this time is photographs of their precious little one for Jake to view from across the ocean- and I am so happy to do that!

To the new parents: your little boy is beautiful. :) I look forward to someday soon, when we can all four get together to capture images of your happy family, together at last. Enjoy your preview.

Inspired :: An Unexpected Video

I did not have any intention of putting up a blog post like this today. In fact, I thought that my blog entry would be a few shots from a recent newborn session (but we’ll get to that later in another post). Instead of putting together some baby blog images, though, I’m sitting...

Morgan’s Beautiful Bridal

Over the past few months, I’ve been fortunate to have made several new photographer friends in Wisconsin. It is so great to meet other artists who are in various places of their walks through the adventure of owning a photography business! I find so much inspiration and encouragement through my new friends.
One of...

Sara & Rob :: Engaged!

Today’s second post is from Sara and Rob’s engagement session. Sara and Rob met at Yield bar on Milwaukee’s East side (my old stomping ground- so it was nice to visit!), and Sara will soon be leaving Milwaukee to join Rob in South Carolina where he now lives and works. Since they’re leaving...
