Downtown Fun :: Meet Andy! :: Madison Portrait Photographer

I am horribly belated in the posting of this preview, but as I’ve got one more week before I’m officially free of daytime employment once again I decided to post a quick and fun peek at one of my December portrait sessions.   Meet my buddy Andy!
Andy & I met when we worked together at a...

Meet My Neighbor :: Baby L is Six Months Old! :: Madison WI Baby Photographer

I can’t believe it’s been almost an entire year since my hubby & I bought our home and moved into our wonderful neighborhood. When you live in apartment buildings or rental homes, you really don’t get the full experience of creating relationships with your neighbors like you do when you finally own your own set...

Little B :: One Year Old! :: Madison Wisconsin Portrait Photographer

Here in the Madison area, we’ve had some pretty yucky weather lately. Wisconsin in the fall can never seem to make up its mind. It’s cold, it’s warm, it’s rainy, it’s dry, it’s cloudy, it’s sunny. The only thing that’s consistent is the inconsistency! This being said, you can imagine how...

Fun With Fashion :: Lexi! :: Wisconsin Portrait Photographer

Every once in a while, it’s great to step out of my comfortable little wedding-filled world and explore something different- so last weekend, I did! Meet my beautiful friend Lexi. Lexi and I have known one another since college, and she was in my wedding last year just two months before she herself...

Baby Alex :: Welcome!

Generally, I post portraits on another blog. Today’s post, though, is the beautiful son of one of my wedding clients, so I am sharing it here, too!

Last year, I had the pleasure and honor of shooting a wedding for a dear, dear friend of the family. In fact, their images were the first posted to this blog! Jake and my little brother have been best friends since kindergarten, and now that they are all grown up I still consider Jake to be practically like my other little brother. My “brother from another mother,” as they would say (love ya, Karin!). I am so happy that both my brothers have turned out to be such amazing men.

Jake and his beautiful wife have had to endure what must be one of the hardest things for newlyweds and new parents to face: Deployment. Jake is currently stationed in Iraq, far from his new bride and his brand new son, Alex. My heart goes out to these two. All that I can offer to help them through this time is photographs of their precious little one for Jake to view from across the ocean- and I am so happy to do that!

To the new parents: your little boy is beautiful. :) I look forward to someday soon, when we can all four get together to capture images of your happy family, together at last. Enjoy your preview.
